Fashion and Textiles Apprenticeships

Fashion and Textiles Apprenticeships prepare people with the technical and practical skills which the sector needs to be able to compete now and in the future. There are five areas of specialisation: apparel, textiles, footwear, leather goods and saddlery. Depending on the role, an Apprenticeship will take between one and four years to complete.

If you are planning to recruit, why not take a look at this scheme? You can also use Apprenticeships to train existing staff. As a further bonus, there is also the possibility of Government funding to cover the training element.

There are two textile and fashion specialist training providers locally;

Key Training & Learning

KTL was established nearly 20 years ago, and specialises in delivering training for the fashion and textile manufacturing industry. It offers Apprenticeships and diplomas and works closely with the Sector Skills Council Creative Skillset, developing sector-specific qualifications and training.

New College Nottingham (NCN)

NCN offers Fashion and Textiles Apprenticeships, which focus on fashion for new or existing employees within the retail industry. Apprentices learn the practical skills needed for the industry whilst being supported by a team of professional ncn assessors and their own employer.

Leicestershire employers may also be eligible to access a grant of up to £3000 per apprentice recruited, contact the hub to find out more.
